Frequently Asked Questions
The first step is to gather all the information. This includes contact information, details about the subject property (including legal description, number of acres, type of farm, type of report needed, purpose for the appraisal, rental rates, sales history, etc.).
After the initial information is gathered, an engagement letter will be drawn up with all the details, fee, estimated completion date and expectations for the appraisal report. It will be sent to you via email (can make arrangements if email is not an option), you will need to read, sign and send the engagement letter back. No further work on the appraisal will be completed until the signed engagement letter is signed and returned.
Once the engagement letter is received, the appraisal process will begin. An inspection will be set up at this time should an inspection be required. Any other details will be gathered should additional information be needed by the appraiser.
Upon completion of the report, it will be delivered via email or mail, as specified in the engagement letter. Payment is due within 30 days of the report's completion.
